Julie Chan, BScN, MN, PHC-NP
Over 8 years of combined experience working as a Registered Nurse and Primary Healthcare Nurse Practitioner in various emergency departments and family practices within Toronto, Mississauga, Northern Ontario, and Nunavut. The four summers of volunteer experience as a teenager with children’s camps in Chibougamau, Oujé-Bougoumou, and Mistassini Cree Nation cultivated a passion for caring for the Indigenous communities at an early age. Recipient of the Anne Whitaker Memorial Award from Toronto Metropolitan University with goal of establishing culturally safe and sustainable access to healthcare in the Canadian Arctic Tundra.

Adriano Balquin, BScN
Over 10 years of combined experience working as a Registered Practical Nurse and Registered Nurse in various emergency departments, a neurosurgical intensive care unit, surgical units, community health centres, and home healthcare within Toronto and remote communities across Canada, including Nunavut, Saskatchewan and the Weeneebayko Area Health Authority. Nominated for the People’s Choice Award at Women’s College Hospital for exceptional patient care and teamwork. Passionate about using his extensive experience to help provide sustainable healthcare access to remote and rural communities.
